North Country on the Move!
The 2008 Guide to Recreation and Physical Activity
In St. Lawrence County
On the Road to Better Health
Trails and Walking Paths in Your Town
More information about many of the trails listed in this guide can be found in the St. Lawrence County Revised Trail Guide, available online in pdf format. It is strongly recommended that this be used in conjunction with the St. Lawrence County Road Map in planning any trip.
A word of warning: The brief descriptions below and in the Trail Guide should be used only for trip planning and general orientation. Do NOT rely on them in forest parks or wilderness areas. Topographic maps and a compass are essential equipment for backcountry travelers, as is the ability to use them. A GPS isn't a bad idea, either, particularly if you don't know what "declination" means.
